Attack on humanity

By our correspondents
June 25, 2017

A series of terrorist attacks rocked the entire country on Friday (Jun 23). Twin blasts in Parachinar and a suicide attack in Quetta resulted in the death of around 62 people. The attack has left more than 100 people injured. The attack happened on the last Friday of Ramazan – a day celebrated by Muslims around the world.

The attack was, in reality, an attack on humanity. Instead of celebrating Eid, families of the martyred will be mourning the loss of their loved ones. The heartless terrorists have turned a blessed day into a tragic one. This is another attempt to disturb the country’s peace and tranquility. In this time of crisis, Pakistanis must stand united. It is time to come forward and support the grieving families.

Three blasts rocked Quetta and Parachinar. More than 60 people have lost their lives in these gruesome incidents. It seems that the government has lost the war on terror. This is because of not implementing the National Action Plan in its truest sense. This is nothing new. Moral values have no part in our life. We make compromises all the time. After every terrorist incident, politicians issue the same statements. We do not need their  tears, we need strict action.

The nation strongly condemns these barbaric attacks. We need a strong government policy to eliminate terrorism and wipe out the last standing terrorist with a gun or bomb in his hand. The entire humanity is at risk. We must plan a fool proof strategy to combat this menace.

Friday (Jun 24) witnessed one of the most horrific series of terrorist attacks in the country. More than 60 people are killed in attacks that took place in in three different cities – Karachi, Quetta and Parachinar. In Parachinar, the attack took place in a busy market, leading to the death of a large number of people. That the attack took place days before Eidul Fitr is more heartrending. Pakistan is putting its maximum efforts to curb terrorism. Terrorists have no religion. They have only one purpose: playing with the lives of innocent people.

The recent attacks highlight the fact that the country has to do a lot more. Also, those external factors who are involved in spreading terror in the country must not be spared. People ‘asking for mercy’ should first have to pay the price of trampling with the country’s peace.
