Full membership of SCO a great success: PINA
Pakistan's full membership of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) is a biggest success of the foreign policy which will help make the country's future brighter.
This was stated by Pakistan Institute of National Affairs (PINA) General Secretary Altaf Hassan Qureshi while addressing an Iftar dinner organised by PINA in honour of senior columnists, scholars, anchors and journalists.
He said that Shanghai Cooperation Organisation would rise as strongest association as more than half of the global population lived in this region. Qureshi said that upcoming world's super power would also become from this region in future.
He said that Pakistan had exemplary relations with China and it was also go thing that SCO's leadership was with China and Russia while Russian President Putin had also indicated for strong Pakistan-Russia relations, terming Pakistan best companion of the region. Altaf said, "Chinese president's suggestion to SCO members for binding themselves in agreements for having best relations with neighbour countries has also been supported by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif." On the occasion, senior journalists and columnists also termed Pakistan's membership of SCO Pakistan's success and diplomatic achievement and said that Pakistan would reap long-term fruits from it. They said that Pakistan's so many issues would be resolved after getting membership of the representative organisation of three billion population. They said that road politics in the country should be banned for 10 years and we should focus on human resource development besides framing a comprehensive system of economic justice.
