KARACHI: A high profile delegation comprising 28 business dignitaries from various sectors of Pakistan visited Lebanon from May 13-18, 2017 on the invitation of Lebanon Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
The delegation was headed by Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) vice president Irfan Sarwana, a statement said on Monday. The delegation held various high level meetings with the government officials and representatives of business community of Lebanon.
During the meetings, the leader of the Pakistani delegation told the hosts that Pakistan was a business friendly country and offered good opportunities to foreign investors in many fields like agriculture, capital goods, sports, and surgical instruments.
Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said the tourism industry was well developed in Lebanon and accounted for 10 percent of the GDP. He also said that Lebanon offered bright prospects in industrial, banking, agriculture and transport equipment sector.

Melhem, the delegation discussed various aspects of boosting bilateral trade, including exchange of trade delegations, organising solo country trade exhibitions, and cooperating in sectors of mutual interest.
