Iftar hosted at Sir Syed Memorial Society

ISLAMABAD: “Fasting is the source of down-toward, submission of Allah and unprecedented nature of humility. We have to teach the youth and realise the importance of education through Islamic Teachings, values and norms. We can stand at the top of the successful nation in the world in respect of tolerance, inter-faith harmony and our golden principles,” it was expressed by the caretaker of Sir Syed Memorial Society Tariq Mehmood while addressing the Iftar dinner given by the caretakers.

He said that we want to move forward through the mission of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and there is a dire need of education for our nation. We are the true followers of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and we carry forward his mission in every nook and corner with the aim of propagation of education, the prime purpose of Sir Syed Memorial Society. It is the need of our to send the message of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the reformist, eminent educationist and true soldier of Pakistan Movement which is a beacon light for new generation. He expressed that we have decided in this year to celebrate the Independence Day with new zeal and zest.

Tariq Mehmood said that the 200th birth day of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan will also be celebrated with different programs to add more significance to this special day. He assured that we will try to work according to the advice of Chief Commissioner Islamabad Zulfiqar Haider. He further added that we will also try to restore the dignity of Sir Syed Memorial Society. He stressed that we should go forward unitedly with the passion of team work so that the goals in the field of education could be achieved.
