LAHORE

A female student of LLB on Wednesday recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate saying that Shah Hussain, son of a lawyer, stabbed her with a sharp-edged knife on Davis Road.

The victim, Khadija Siddiqui, along with her sister appeared before the judicial magistrate of the cantonment area and said that she went to Davis Road to pick up her sister from her school and as they were about to sit in their car, the accused, wearing a helmet on a motorbike, attacked her.

The victim said she suffered serious injuries on her neck while her younger sister Sofia also suffered injuries. And as the accused tried to flee, she said she grabbed him and meanwhile his helmet fell down which helped her recognise him. It was Shah Hussain, the victim said.

She said the accused also used to harass her before this incident. Her younger sister also recorded her statement while indicating towards Shah Hussain, who was present in the courtroom, she said, "he attacked her sister and pushed her and she also got injured.”.

During the proceedings, the lawyers of both sides exchanged harsh words and disturbed the decorum of the court. The court, however, recorded the statements and adjourned the hearing for two days.   Accused Shah Hussain is class fellow of Khadija Siddiqui.
