This is to draw the attention of the Home Department Government of Sindh that toy guns are being frequently sold in Karachi. Recently, Karachi Commissioner put a temporary ban on the manufacturing and sale of toy guns for a period of two months. Although it is a commendable step, more steps should be taken to put an end to the sale of the toy. These toy guns are being used by robbers in various street crimes. In addition, these guns are a bad influence on children.
The concerned authorities must place a permanent ban on the manufacturing and sale of toy guns. In the meanwhile, the authorities should confiscate these toy guns from the local markets immediately.
