As many as 76 students of MS, M.Phil and PhD disciplines of the Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) got laptops on Tuesday provided by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) as part of the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme in the second phase.
PMAS-AAUR Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad handed over laptops to students in a ceremony. On the occasion, deans, directors and faculty members were also present.
Addressing the laptop distribution ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad appreciated the wisdom and vision of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who introduced the scheme for students, which would be helpful in promoting the research culture in universities.
