In view of the interior ministry’s warning of more terrorist attacks following the Peshawar tragedy, the government has decided to raise the outer walls of schools by up to eight feet. Now the walls of almost every school have been raised. Is this going to deter militants from shooting their way into a school through its main gate? If not, then what was the need for raising the walls?
Students can easily jump over small walls to save themselves should a terror incident like the one in Peshawar take place. Now students along with their teachers will find it hard to escape.
