The rupee posted minor gains against the dollar on Wednesday due to slowdown in the demand for foreign currency by importers, dealers said. The rupee rose five paisas to close at 104.81 against the greenback in the interbank market as compared to the previous day’s closing of 104.86. Currency dealers said soft dollar demand along with selling by some banks and exporters helped the rupee gain ground during the trading activity.
