Punjab CM abolishes Re1 fee in hospitals
LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has abolished Re1 ‘parchi’ fee from all
OPDs at DHQ/THQ hospitals in Punjab with immediate effect.
Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Ali Jaan Khan in a statement Friday said the notification is being issued, and he directed all CEOs/MSs of DHQ and THQ hospitals to enforce this decision immediately and without fail.
There shall be no fee for issuance of OPD ‘parchis’ and all tickets/OPD ‘parchis’ will be issued free of cost. Proper notices will be displayed at all prominent places highlighting this decision. All MSs of DHQs and THQs shall post pictures showing these displays at WhatsApp groups by 10am today (Saturday). He ordered ensuring compliance in letter and spirit and asked director operations and project director Project Management Unit to monitor and enforce this decision.
