IMSciences trains varsities staff, faculty

PESHAWAR: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) has successfully completed trainings at various public and private universities of the country.

A press release said that these were biggest ever trainings in the history of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).  A total of 933 staff and faculty members of 188 public and private universities of the country were trained.

The IMSciences was selected for the project through open competitive bidding by the Tertiary Education Support Programme (TESP), HEC Pakistan. The training was conducted in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. The participants were trained in three modules identified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the HEC. The modules were Quality Assurance and Governance, Procurement and PhD Students’ Supervision.

The closing ceremony was held at Margala Hotel, Islamabad. The chief guest, Dr Mahmood-ul-Hassan Butt, consultant to HEC, emphasised on the importance of quality assurance in the higher education. The official appreciated the efforts of IMSciences for conducting trainings in the best possible manner.
