KU syndicate makes advertising postings of up to Grade 16 mandatory
A syndicate meeting of the University of Karachi decided on Wednesday that advertising should be made compulsory for appointments from BPS grade 1 to grade 16.

Karachi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan chaired the syndicate meeting, which approved the minutes of the last syndicate session held on April 20 along with an implementation report on the resolutions. The minutes of the selection board held on May 2 were also approved.
During the meeting, two acres were allocated to the KU’s Seerat Chair building adjacent to the UBL branch at the campus, while approval was also given for the appointments of Professor Dr Abu Tayyab Khan to the Department of Bengali, Professor Dr Tabassum Mehboob to the Department of Biochemistry, Professor Dr Majid Mumtaz to the Department of Chemistry and Dr Sabohi Raza to the Department of Agriculture and Agribusiness Management as chairpersons for three years.
