PESHAWAR: Three militants were killed when a US drone carried out a strike in the eastern part of Afghanistan on the border with Pakistan on Wednesday, international media reported. Kamran Afridi, a local official in Miranshah, North Waziristan, said the deadly drone strike was carried out on the Afghan village of Gurowek in Khost province. A Taliban commander, who identified himself as Abdullah Waziristani, confirmed the attack, saying the targeted compound belonged to a local Taliban commander.
