Islamabad: Today (Tuesday) is the last date to secure certificate of eligibility for sitting in the National Examination Board examination.
This was announced by acting PMDC registrar Dr Shaista Faisal on Monday.
Foreign medical and dental students have to pass the NEB examination to get the PMDC nod for practice in the country.
The acting PMDC registrar said January 26 and 27 were the dates fixed for issuance of certificate of eligibility for the NEX examination.
“Members of our staff have been working 24/7 to facilitate candidates. We’ve deployed more staff members at the NEB section to ensure smooth working,” she said, adding that seating arrangements had been made for the candidates in a spacious hall on the premises.
Dr Shaista Faisal said the candidates had been told that the PMDC would issue them the NEB eligibility certificates as soon as their cases were processed.
“The NEB section has been tasked with a very important and sensitive job. It cannot issue the NEB eligibility certificate unless the cases are properly examined and assessed individually, especially following the verification of degrees from the relevant educational institutions,” she said.
The acting PMDC registrar said her organisation processed the cases in the minimum possible time.
