Students exhibit final year projects at NUST open house
Rawalpindi: A mega event of ‘Open House’ was organized by Military College of Signals (MCS), a constituent college of NUST, here on Tuesday in the College Campus. Graduating students displayed their final year projects in the field of Telecommunication and Software Engineering. More than 150 guests from Industry, Academia and Government sector were present on the occasion. The event established a liaison between the institution and industry to find future professionals in an extremely competitive market.
The chief guest, Lieutenant General Naweed Zaman, (r) Rector National University of Sciences and Technology; and other dignitaries were received by the College Commandant. The chief guest appreciated the high standard of projects which were in line with the latest trends of fast changing technological advancements. He said that the Open House is the culminating point of students’ academic endeavours at MCS and speaks volume of their technical proficiency. He further added that such events reveal that there is no dearth of talent in our country.
Commandant Military College of Signals welcomed the distinguished guests and said that the Open House is a platform for potential employers and our graduating students to come closer and share their mutual interests, skills and experience. He applauded the untiring efforts of the faculty in guiding the students and stimulating their minds to practice contemporary trends in technology.
Graduating students displayed 55 stalls to exhibit a broad spectrum of practically and commercially viable Telecommunication and Software projects. Leading business practitioners and professionals from corporate industry had established their recruitment booths at the venue. They shared their organizational requirements with the graduating students and conducted follow up interviews.
