LAHORE
Shibli Muneer and Noreen Rashid are no strangers in the art circles in the provincial capital. These two brilliant artists are just about to mesmerise the art lovers with yet another group exhibition, being opened at Nairang Art Gallery on 25th of May at 6pm.
The exhibition of miniature paintings, which is being inaugurated by Lahore College for Women University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, is housing the recent works of art by Shibli and Noreen.
The two have combined the old themes with the new trends. The interesting amalgamation of the glowing past and the 21st century ‘Delights’ is certainly a refreshing experience for all and sundry. According to Shibli, “My family background in traditional miniature painting and deep interest in "Distorted History" reinforce my current body of work”.
