Hosts dinner in honour of Shatrughan Sinha
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Hashoo Group Sadruddin Hashwani hosted a dinner in honour of Indian filmstar and politician Shatrughan Sinha at his residence in Dubai.
Speaking on the occasion, Hashwani said that Shatrughan Sinha has been his close friend since 1970 and always makes a point of visiting him whenever he comes to Dubai. "Even on my last birthday he specifically came over to join me and my family," he said and added that he also invited him to visit India and he looks forward to my visit for the sake of building bridges between peoples of both the countries.
Sadruddin Hashwani said that there are more Muslims in Bangladesh than in Pakistan and if Pakistan had not been dismembered in 1971, today Pakistan would have been the largest Muslim populated country in the world.
He said, “Shatru was happy to see me walking around and talked of hiking on Margalla hills in Islamabad which I used to do regularly and very actively. Though I miss hiking today but Allamdullah I am fine now and on my feet with sharp mind to continue serving my beloved country and undertaking new projects”. He added that he was also focusing on social sector and particularly giving attention to education and health related projects for the underprivileged communities. "This is my mission and hope and pray for accomplishing it," he added.
He said that he remembered his youth but even at this age he finds himself fit and capable of of praying to Allah Almighty and fulfilling Haququl Ibad. He said that Pakistan is very rich in resources but we need more people like Late Abdul Sattar Edhi to serve the country better.
He said that like every Pakistani he is proud of our Armed forces. "My closest friend in life was Late General Asif Nawaz who was brave soldier but unfortunately died under mysterious circumstances," he added. He said Pakistan is also proud of General (R) Raheel Sharif who headed Pakistan Army most gracefully and professionally and now will lead the armies of almost entire Muslim world. General Raheel Sharif is the true face of Pakistan and everyone is proud of him, he added.
