KARACHI: Sohaib Club Faisalabad overwhelmed Lyallpur Tigers Faisalabad 2-1 in the last league game to win the First National Beach Handball Club League 2017 at the Agriculture University Faisalabad on Sunday.
The scores remained 17-13, 19-22 and 15-14 in favour of Sohaib Club.
The Vice Chancellor of Agriculture University Professor Iqrar Ahmed, MPA Haji Khalid Saeed and former hockey Olympian Manzoor-ul-Hasan graced the closing ceremony.
In the league matches, Misaq Club Faisalabad defeated COMSATS Club Islamabad 23-17, 25-19; Sohaib Club overcame National Club Pakistan 30-18, 18-14; and Chishtian Club beat Misaq Club 21-22, 20-19 and 7-6.
In the matches held on Saturday, Lyallpur Tigers defeated COMSATS Islamabad 2-0. The scores remained 20-13, 24-17.
In the second game, Sohaib Club crushed Chishtian Club 27-22, 24-17. Chishtian Club lost to National Club 10-13, 17-16 and 4-5. Lyallpur Tigers whacked Sohaib Club 26-23, 17-16.
National Club of Pakistan got third position. They were followed by Chishtian Club, Misaq Club, COMSATS, Mardan Club and Bolan Club.
