‘CPEC to help check terrorism, fanaticism’

LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a wonderful project of development and prosperity of the country; adding that work is continuing on CPEC related projects in Pakistan with full zeal. 

The world is astonished at the speedy completion of projects in Pakistan. The CPEC is a game changer in the real sense which will not only benefit Pakistan, but the whole region. The completion of this project would usher in development and prosperity in the region. The CPEC has opened the doors of foreign investment in Pakistan. The billions of rupees investment has created job opportunities for lakhs of people.

According to a handout, talking to the public representatives here Friday, the chief minister said China has been investing billions of dollars in Pakistan under CPEC project, and added that he is thankful to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Keqiang, and the people of China, for this wonderful CPEC package. 

CPEC will also play an immortal role with regard to elimination of terrorism and fanaticism as well as alleviation of poverty and a new era of socio-economic development will commence. 

It is such a great gift of great friend China to Pakistan which the people of Pakistan cannot forget. The investment made under the CPEC has helped to boost bilateral relations between the two countries and a new era of economic development between Pakistan and China has begun. 

The CM said that speedy completion of CPEC project is his priority as these projects will change the destiny of the nation. He said that CPEC emerged as an immortal reality and projects are being initiated in the whole of the country under it. CPEC will also play an immortal role with regard to elimination of terrorism and fanaticism as well as alleviation of poverty and a new era of socio-economic development will commence. 

Pakistan will become a centre of trade and economic activities and the CPEC project will change the course of history. He vowed that no conspiracy would be allowed to succeed against it. He said the opponents of prosperity of the people have conspired to stop the great project of CPEC, and due to the nefarious designs of these elements, delay occurred in the projects. He said had these elements been sincere to the people they would not have obstructed the projects initiated to resolve energy crisis. 

Pakistan has started moving towards development and prosperity under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He said various energy projects are near completion while many more have already been completed. He said that outages would come to an end in Pakistan after the completion of energy projects.
