No loadshedding during Sehr, Iftar
Industrial units won’t be supplied electricity from 5:00 pm to 4:00 am
ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday announced not to carry out power loadshedding during Sehri, Iftar and Taraweeh prayers’ timings to provide some relief to the people from routine power outages during the holy month of Ramazan.
As the country is reeling from energy shortfall, the Ministry of Water and Power will continue loadshedding during the holy month with a little relief to those observing fast, a private TV channel reported.
According to the schedule announced by the ministry, industrial units would not be supplied electricity from 5:00 pm to 4:00 am to manage the ever-increasing demand of power owing to soaring temperatures. Besides, the power utilities would not carry out loadshedding at Sehri, Iftar and Taraweeh prayers timings.
The ministry in its statement said that the decision has been taken to facilitate general public in Ramazan in the wake of energy shortfall. Meanwhile, the power ministry has summoned the details of power load from the power distribution companies.
