Polio eradication campaign in AJK begins today

MUZAFFARABAD: Three-day polio eradication campaign will begin in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Monday.
In Muzaffarabad, more than one hundred and twenty thousand children of up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops. The Health Department has constituted 338 mobile teams. Polio teams at 58 fixed centers and 18 transit points will also administer anti polio vaccine to the children.
Two Control Rooms have been setup at Deputy Commissioner and District Health Officer’s Office to monitor the campaign. The staff in the control room will perform duties from 08 00am to 08 00pm to coordinate with the polio teams and address any complaint on proper time.
