LAHORE: Hot and humid weather continued to prevail in the city here on Sunday while the Met office predicted similar weather conditions for Monday (today). Met officials said a shallow westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, dust-thunderstorm/rain with gusty winds is expected at a few places in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Bannu, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha divisions, Islamabad upper Fata and Kashmir.
Rainfall was recorded in several cities, including Malam Jabba, Cherat, Lower Dir, Saidu Sharif, Islamabad, Rawalakot, Muzaffarabad and Garhi Dupatta. Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Jacobabad, Rahimyar Khan, Larkana and Noorpur Thal where the mercury reached 45°C.On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Lahore reached 42°C while the minimum was 27°C and humidity was 17 percent.
