LAHORE
The research articles of renowned Pakistani neurosurgeon of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) Prof Khalid Mahmood on DBS (deep brain stimulation) therapy for the treatment of Parkinson's have attained international recognition and they have been registered for the upcoming international medical conferences to be held in Germany and Turkey.
The organisers of the conferences have invited Prof Khalid Mahmood to attend the events and read out his research articles on the subject.
According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies has inducted Prof Khalid’s research articles in their final list for the international medical conference scheduled to be held in Istanbul this year. Similarly, world organisation of neurosurgery, WSSFN, has also invited Prof Khalid Mahmood to come to Berlin for presentation of his articles on DBS type of treatment of Parkinson's. He is serving as professor of neurosurgery at Unit II of LGH. World health organisations are appreciating his research work.
