RCB achieves 85% recovery target

As directed by Chief Executive Officer, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, Dr. Saima Shah, the heads of their respective sections have managed to achieve 85 per cent target of recovery and believe that the remaining would also be achieved by the end of June 31 this year.

This was informed by Secretary RCB, Qaisar Mahmood who is also media coordinator while talking to this correspondent in his office.

The secretary while appreciating the performance of the heads of the respective sections in achieving 85 per cent target of recovery said that on the special instructions of the CEO, the incharge of their sections are making tremendous efforts to achieve remaining 15 per cent target within next five to 6 weeks. On the occasion, the secretary also praised the head of sanitation department, Waris Bhatti for keeping the wards in RCB limits with effective and practical measures.

At the same time, RCB is laying focus on improvement of aesthetic of public area, effective management of water and its distribution network besides setting up priority on free rationing of water bowsers and accelerating the process of recovery of dues from defaulters.

Giving details of recovery upto April 20 ,2017 on which work was initiated some 7 months back, Qaisar Mahmood told that the RCB has successfully recovered appropriate funds through recovery. In octroi 86.57 recovery has been made, professional tax 80 per cent, water charges 86.76 per cent, TIP tax 79.20 per cent,Food Laws140per cent , Mutation fee 80 per cent, water connection fee 60 per cent , rent from leases 70 per cent vice versa.
