AIOU exams from May 8

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will hold final exams of Matriculation, FA, F.Sc, BA and B. Ed and its some academic programmes from May 8, says a press release.
The programmes include BS Micro-biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. The University has set up about 850 centres across the country to facilitate the students to attempt the exams close to their residence or work place.
According to the Controller Exams, Roll Number slips were being dispatched to all enrolled students at their postal address. The same along with date-sheet has been placed at the University’s website www.aiou.edu.pk.
The students who do not receive their roll number slips till April 30 could contact their respective regional offices or the Examination Department in Islamabad for duplicate slip.
Number of exam centres has been increased this time, on the directions of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Siddiqui for maximum care of students in the examination process.
The University has recently taken various initiatives to ensure transparency and quality in the overall examination system. The matters relating to evaluation of examination’s papers and announcement of results have also been streamlined.
