5 more arrested in Mashal lynching case

MARDAN: The police have arrested five more suspects in Mashal Khan’s lynching case and the number of the arrested accused reached 47, police sources said on Friday. The arrested accused were identified as Usman, Suleman, Abbas alias Sheno, students of the Abdul Wali Khan University, and Nawab Ali and Shabbir, employees of the university. Police have identified 49 suspects through a number of footages that surfaced after the incident. The police, the sources said, were conducting raids to arrest the remaining two accused, who were on the run believed to be hiding somewhere in the tribal areas.
