MANSEHRA: Three members of a family, including two women, died and two people were injured when a jeep fell into a ravine in Garhi Habibullah on Wednesday, local sources said.
The family was on its way back to Garhi Habibullah from Shawal area after attending a marriage ceremony when driver lost control over the steering wheel while negotiating a sharp turn in Thanda Mor. The vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep ravine.
Locals rushed to the scene and shifted injured and dead to Civil Hospital at Garhi Habibullah. The injured Noreen Bibi and Zarmina Bibi were referred to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors declared their condition out of danger.
The dead were identified as Zakia Bibi, Gulzar Bibi and Jehanzeb.The Garhi Habibullah police, after lodging first information report, started investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
