War on corruption to continue, says Sarwar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that war on corruption will continue till the eradication of corruption. 

“Pakistan has become hotbed of problems due to corruption and corrupt people. PTI is moving ahead by joining hands with people of Pakistan against corruption” said Sarwar in a statement issued on Thursday.

Sarwar said PTI wanted to make the Pakistan of Iqbal and Jinnah and every citizen must enjoy equal rights in the country irrespective of his/her colour, race and faith. The politics of Pakistan PTI was for the betterment of country. He said, "We are ready to make any sacrifice for eradication of corruption in country," he said. PTI will provide equal opportunities and basic necessities of life to all citizens, he added. 

Menawhile, Sumsam Bokhari, PTI secretary information, Punjab, in a statement, said the PTI public meeting in the federal capital on April 28 would be historic. He said a massive crowd would turn up to the meeting which would be an indicator of people’s no-confidence in the PML-N government. Sumsam Bokhari said that PTI would launch its mass contact campaign to expose the real face of the rulers whose involvement in scandals like Panama and newsleaks were not hidden from anyone now.

Jamali: Former Prime Minister Mir Zafar Ullah Jamali has predicted Panama leaks issue will continue to exist and stated that the nation would have to take to the streets if it wanted to get rid of the present regime.

Talking to media persons at a reception hosted by noted political figure of Lahore Chaudhry Akram, the former PM said that no one had the courage to hold rulers’ accountability. He also said that there was a difference between democracy and hypocrisy.

To a question regarding general elections, he said they could be held anytime but more importantly, they should be held only for Pakistan.
