Qirat, Naat contest
LAHORE
Lahore College for Women (LCWU), Lahore organised “Punjab Chief Minister Qirat and Naat competition” here Wednesday in which delegations throughout the Punjab participated.
Vice-Chancellor of LCWU Dr Rukhsana Kausar, members of faculty and students attended the function.
According to a press release, in her address, Dr Rukhsana Kausar said that life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a beacon of light for the mankind and success in this world and the hereafter can be achieved by acting upon his teachings. She said a welfare society in the real sense can be created by following the principles of Islam which has given the message of peace, amity, human respect, equality, forgiveness and justice to the mankind.
The VC said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) set such examples of forgiveness which are unprecedented in the human history.
Ms Kausar said that co-curricular activities bring about a constructive change in the overall demeanor of a student.
