LAHORE
Punjab University (PU) administration on Monday once again postponed its three-day book fair scheduled to be held from April 27, 2017.
Last month, the university administration had announced holding the book fair from April 6 to 8, 2017.However, it was postponed following a tense situation at the Punjab University after a clash between student groups.
Sources in the university said this time the book fair was postponed in the wake of security situation as clearance was not approved from security agencies. They said Jamiat’s possible interference was also one of the causes as the student group had announced participating in the book fair and announced constituting different committees for this purpose. A Punjab University spokesman, in a statement, said the new date will be announced later.
