World Book Day

Across the world, World Book Day is celebrated on April 23. The day is celebrated to encourage the habit of reading among people. In Pakistan, reading habit is declining day by day. Public libraries that are considered as the fundamental component of every civil society are in a small number in the country. These libraries are being neglected not only by the government but by the people as well.

The government and the education department are requested to put their roles in encouraging book reading among the people.
