In Karachi, the problem of garbage has touched new heights. The whole city is covered under the heaps of garbage. Recently, the provincial government started a campaign to clean the city. Citizens were also urged to keep the city clean. However, this problem can only be averted if proper steps are taken. Litter bins should be installed at various places to avoid the accumulation of garbage at one place. People should know where to dispose of solid waste. Piles of garbage on roads is a common sight, however, in our city even education institutions are not safe from this problem. One such example is the University of Karachi (UoK).
In the university, there is an insufficient number of litter bins. Even if someone wants to dispose of waste in a bin, the unavailability of bins leave no other choice than to throw the waste on ground. This activity is slowlt turning an education institution into a waste bin. The university’s administration is requested to install a large number of bins at all canteens so that an education institution can be kept clean.
