To construct quality infrastructure, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) director general has directed for immediately starting development works on land obtained for LDA City in villages Sidhar and Kahna through well-reputed engineering contractor firms in the scheme.

Chairing a meeting to review the LDA City affairs here on Friday, the director general directed for starting construction of gate of LDA City at Gajjumatta, Ferozepur Road. He emphasised the need for fast track implementation of LDA City Housing Scheme for providing low-cost housing amenity to thousands of families in the provincial capital. He urged the relevant LDA officers for assigning top priority to the affairs of the scheme for this purpose. The meeting was informed that construction of an approach road, starting from Gujjumatta, Ferozepur Road to the scheme, is now in final stage and the work is expected to be completed within this month. This 2.1 kilometers long road is 180 feet wide and the project is being executed at a cost of Rs1.13 billion. The scheme has also been provided a link from Katcha Flyover, the first ever flyover constructed in the Punjab on public-private partnership basis, on Katcha Railway Crossing.

The meeting was informed that complete data of files of LDA City has been uploaded on LDA’s website www.lda.gop.pk for ensuring transparency and maintaining public confidence in the Lahore Development Authority. The same data is also available on www.lda.city, the website of LDA’s development partners for the scheme.

Officials said file owners can get complete information about status of their files of plots by following the instructions on the website and entering their CNIC number or file number. The file owners can update themselves about payment made so far, number of installments and remaining dues to be deposited by them.
