Karachi Development Authority (KDA) Director General Syed Nasir Abbas has said steps are being taken to introduce a low-cost housing scheme for the masses.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the KDA DG said his department was in contact with the Sindh government regarding the project and a positive outcome was expected soon.
Decisive action is being taken against land-grabbers in coordination with the Sindh government, he said.
Abbas instructed a committee headed by the Director, Anti-Encroachment to prepare weekly reports about KDA properties and collect details about site offices and residential units. He also directed them to submit monthly suggestions to increase revenue.
The DG was assured by the officials that a strategy was in place to resolve issues faced with development works and related matters in Gulistan-e-Johar.
