2010 Abbottabad violence victims remembered
MANSEHRA: Tehreek-i-Subah Hazara (TSH) has demanded justice for the families of those killed during a protest in Abbottabad in 2010.
Speaking at a rally on the seventh anniversary of the tragedy on Wednesday, Tehreek-i-Subah Hazara Convener Mushtaq Khan Swati said they had been striving to win justice to the victim families for the last seven years.
Holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans in support of their demands, the protesters marched from the press club and gathered at the Khatm-i-Nubuwwat Chowk. Swati called for justice to the families of those who lost lives in the tragedy. He promised to continue the struggle for a separate province.
Maulana Wasiur Rehman flayed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government for not declaring Hazara a separate province. “Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had pledged to give the province status to Hazara after winning the 2013 elections,” he recalled and urged the PML-N leadership to honour the promise. The speakers also asked the government to create more federating units, including Hazara, in the country.
