The Sun Montessori Teachers Training Institute (SMTTI) awarded certificates on Tuesday to 14 candidates of the fourth batch for successfully completing a six-month training course of the institute, which is affiliated with the Sindh Board of Technical Education.
Addressing the certificate-distribution ceremony, SMTTI Managing Director Engr. Mohammad Ahsan Khan said the course had been approved by Sindh Board of Technical Education and it would enhance the skills of montessori teachers and also create awareness about effective ways to teach children.
In her speech, Dr Rafia Khan, the director of the institute, highlighted the importance of women’s empowerment and the methodology the Sun Montessori had adopted.
She said that at the Sun Montessori, children were taught through various play activities. She said this montessori was different from others in that children were nurtured and brought up there in a manner that helped them acquire a distinguished position in society later in life.
Dr Khan was of the view that present-day women were very talented and they were proving their mettle by working in different professions.
Speaking on the occasion, SMTTI Deputy Director Naureen Mansoor said every module of the montessori course had been designed effectively.
