Dumper kills two on Badoki Road

LAHORE

Two teenagers were killed by a speeding dumper on Badoki Road on Wednesday. The victims were identified as Zain, 13, and Husnain, 8, residents of Baba Bulhay Shah Colony. It was reported that a rashly-driven dumper ran over a donkey cart, as a result of which, Zain and Husnain sustained fatal injuries. They were taken to hospital where both of them died. Police shifted the bodies to morgue.

ACCIDENTS: Total 710 road traffic accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours; in which seven lives were lost and 669 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts & tehsils.

However, some 220 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by Emergency Medical Teams.

PERFORMANCE: SSP Investigations reviewed the performance of all divisions here on Wednesday. Civil lines Division submitted 631 challans to the courts, including 158 challans of property disputes and 20 challans of robbery.

Similarly, Civil Lines Division arrested 66 proclaimed offenders.   injured: Two students of a local college were injured when a security guard accidentally pulled the trigger of his gun here on Wednesday.

The injured students identified as Adnan and Jawad were rushed to hospital where their condition was said to be out of danger. probe: Pakistan Railways has appointed federal government inspector railways for holding inquiry into the unfortunate incident took place in Sheikhupura, the other day, due to a collision between a train and an oil tanker in which so far three people have lost their lives and several others received injuries.

According to the PR spokesman, the inquiry would be conducted at the office of the Divisional Superintendent, Lahore till April 1, 2017. The spokesman said that any individual could submit evidences related to the unfortunate incident till March 30 to the investigation team.
