Mulberry trees
By our correspondents
March 30, 2017
Large quantities of pollen from Mulberry trees have fallen to the ground between the ministry of climate change and petroleum house in Islamabad. Warnings are often issued to asthma patients to stay away from pollen dust, especially when the wind is blowing between 5am-10am and 5pm-10pm. It has also been reported that at least 15 percent of the city’s population has visited various hospitals due to pollen allergy.
A more permanent solution is needed. Mulberry trees can be replaced with other trees to keep the population safe and the greenery of Islamabad intact. The CDA and Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) are requested to look into the matter.
