LAHORE: Dry weather continued to prevail in the city here on Monday while the Met office predicted similar weather conditions during the next 24 hours.
Met officials said continental air is prevailing in most parts of the country. They said a shallow westerly wave is likely to enter western and upper parts of the country and likely to affect till Wednesday morning. They predicted that mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country.
Rainfall was recorded at Parachinar, Kalam, Malam Jabba and Saidu Sharif. Monday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Mithi where mercury reached 42°C. In Lahore, humidity was 18 percent, the maximum temperature was 36°C while the minimum was 19.8°C.
