Omar Associates, SBP, PTV and PQA register wins

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Omar Associates, Pakistan Television (PTV) and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) recorded victories inside two days in their fourth round matches of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II at different venues of the country on Saturday.

Here at the NBP Sports Complex, SBP crushed Candyland by an innings and 127 runs. After being forced to follow-on Candyland were bowled out for 103. Spinner Kashif Bhatti captured 7-32.

Earlier, in response to SBP’s first innings score of 284 all out, Candyland resumed their first innings at 42-3 and perished for 54. Fast bowler Ataullah got 5-16, while Kashif Bhatti claimed 4-10.

Meanwhile at Sports Stadium Sargodha, PTV whipped Humak Engineering by an innings and 179 runs. In response to PTV’s first innings total of 394-8, Humak Engineering resumed their first innings at 3-1 and perished for 79 with Samiullah taking 4-20. After being forced to follow-on Humak Engineering were folded for 136 in their second innings. Samiullah got 8-45.

At Sheikhupura, PQA demolished Income Tax by an innings and 174 runs. In response to Income Tax first innings score of 109, PQA resumed their first innings at 245-5 and went on to stage 367 all out. Income Tax, after conceding a 258-run lead, were bundled out for 84 in their second innings.

At LCCA Ground Lahore, Omar Associates prevailed over K-Electric by ten wickets. After conceding a 137 runs lead, K-Electric were bowled out for 146 in their second innings to set only a ten runs target for Omar Associates who achieved it in the third over without losing a wicket.

K-Electric posted 148 in their first innings. In response, Omar Associates were folded for 285.
