‘SC decision on Panama case to expose corrupt’
MARDAN: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) head Sirajul Haq on Saturday said the decision of the Supreme Court (SC) in the Panama Papers case would expose the corrupt.
“We are hopeful that the decision will come against the thieves and the corrupt,” he said while addressing a gathering here. A large number of JI activists attended the event.
A large numbers of workers of other political parties announced joining the JI on the occasion.
JI provincial head Mushtaq Ahmad, district head Dr Attaur Rehman and others also addressed the public meeting.
Sirajul Haq said the government had failed to provide relief to the masses and steer the country out of the prevailing crises.
He added the government was unable to root out corruption and provide jobs to the unemployed youth.
The JI leader said that his party would establish Sharia law in the country if voted to power.
Sirajul Haq said his party would emerge victorious in the next general election and defeat the corrupt elite. He said that the rulers had looted the resources and pocketed the funds meant for uplift projects.
