Panama’s GDP rises 4.95pct in Jan

PANAMA CITY: Panama´s economy grew 4.95 percent in January compared to the same month last year, powered by private investment in the country´s construction and mining sectors, the national statistics office said. The government has forecast that Panama´s economy will expand by 5.8 percent in 2017.
