NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Wednesday said that several prominent politicians would join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the next couple of weeks.
Speaking at a public meeting at Taru Jabba, Pervez Khattak said that the Panama Leaks scandal had ended the politics of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). He criticised the PML-N leader Amir Muqam for his “politics of transformers”.
He added that the PML-N leader had crossed all the limits and tried to take credit for the gas supply project to several areas in Nowshera for which funds were provided by the provincial government.
He added that the PTI provided funds for feeders in Akbarpura while Amir Muqam misguided the masses that the scheme was executed by the federal government. “The federal government should take credits for projects that are funded by federal government,” he added.
Pervez Khattak said that lack of uniform education system had created division in the society which had been forcing people to go abroad for jobs.PML-N’s district councillor Haider Ali Khan announced joining PTI. Pervez Khattak said that proactive workers were quitting PML-N, which testifies that the party could not win the next general election. The country needed honest leaders and corrupt people could not steer the country out of crisis, the chief minister added.
He said that charismatic leadership of Imran Khan coupled with the party performance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would help the party sweep the next general election. He said that the solution to the problems of Pakistan was in improving governance and claimed that his party had achieved the objective in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
