Damage to pipeline hits gas supply in KP

The network of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), supplying gas to parts of district Karak and whole of districts Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, DI Khan and Bhakkar is fast dwindling due to complete shutdown as a result of the damage done to transmission pipeline by locals of Peer Mela, Karak district.
According to an announcement, the repair staff of SNGPL is at the site but the locals are not allowing the staff to repair the damaged portion.
The district administration is negotiating with the locals. SNGPL regretted the inconvenience caused to its consumers in the districts. —Correspondent
