A delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s Karachi division called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah at the CM House on Monday.
Issued related to development and water supply schemes were discussed on the occasion.
The delegation, led by Senator Saeed Ghani, included MPAs Murtaza Baloch, Sajid Jokhio, district presidents and general secretaries. Sindh PPP President Nisar Khuhro and General Secretary Waqar Mehdi also attended the meeting.
The newly elected office-bearers lauded the ongoing development works in the city and requested the chief minister to complete them in time.
Discussing the miseries of various villages in district East and Malir that have not been provided with the power and water supply, they requested the CM to ensure provision of basic facilities to all such colonies that met the regularisation criteria.
The CM assured them that he was personally monitoring the ongoing development works in the city. He said the development work in rural areas of Karachi would also be under taken shortly.
To provide power supply to rural areas of Karachi, he said, necessary funds have been released to the K-Electric.
Murad said he was trying his best to serve the people of urban and rural Karachi. "Local party leaders should take responsibility and identify the issues so that they could be addressed accordingly," he said.
