Promotions denied

PTV is a state-run television network. The channel has been operating without an MD for a long time. This causes delay in the company’s operations. Matters like advertising, selection of content and the promotion of employees, etc requires the approval of an MD. Currently, the employees of the organisation are facing a serious problem. Many employees who receive daily wages are now waiting to obtain the status of permanent employees in the organisation. This can only be done if there is an MD who can sign on their agreement.

An employee is given the status of a permanent employee only when a signed letter is issued to him. The date of issuance determines when the tenure of an employee in the organisation begins. If the unavailability of the concerned personnel exists, employees will not be able to enjoy the benefits of permanent employment. The concerned authorities are requested to look into the matter.
