PSP to mark foundation day with Nishtar Park rally
The Mustafa Kamal-led Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) will celebrate its foundation day on March 23 with a rally at Nishtar Park.
This was disclosed to The News by senior PSP leader Waseem Aftab who said workers and supporters had expressed keenness on making the celebrations a resounding success.
Commenting on the Foundation Day celebrations by Dr Farooq Sattar’s MQM-P, Aftab said the day chosen was proof that both London and Pakistan were on the same page.
Kamal’s talk
Speaking at an event on Sunday, PSP chief Mustafa Kamal said Pakistan could not operate without the vital role played by Karachi, adds Geo News.
“A solution to Karachi’s problems is a solution to Pakistan’s problems,” said Kamal.
The former MQM member said the number of votes in favour of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the 2013 elections reflected the sentiment against MQM founder Altaf Hussain.
“Criminals suit him [Altaf Hussain]. He continues to make efforts to turn Mohajirs against members of other ethnicities.”
Kamal blamed the party founder for the downfall of MQM and the Mohajir community. “We [PSP] won’t accept any charity, donations or zakat,” said Kamal. “We will dissolve the party the day we commit a single wrong act.”
