PESHAWAR: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq on Sunday visited the victims of Army Public School and College attack still under treatment at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH).
The Jamaat-e-Islami head inquired after the health of a wounded teacher being treated at the hospital and prayed for his early recovery. On the occasion, he said he saluted the bravery and courage of the students, teachers and other APS staff who sacrificed their lives, won the battle for life even after receiving bullets or those who resumed studies with a new commitment after the attack.
Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami chief while talking to reporters condemned the publication of the blasphemous caricatures in western media, saying it had hurt sentiments of over a billion Muslims all over the world.
He asked the heads of Muslim countries to get united and put pressure on the French government to stop publication of blasphemous sketches in future. He added that insulting any religion is not the freedom of speech.
