Fraud accused remanded in NAB custody

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has acquired 15-day physical remand of co-accused Abdul Majeed involved in cheating people in the name of business. The accused lured public to invest in a car booking business and managed to collect Rs26.492 million, approximately. According to a NAB spokesman, Abdul Majeed Khan, son of Muhammad Rafiq Khan, was blamed for cheating public at large in connivance with accused Fakhar Javed who is already facing corruption charges for allegedly depriving public with millions of rupees in the guise of the said business. Both the accused used to attract public by offering delivery of cars on easy installments and succeeded to collect above mentioned amount as advance payments but later vanished. The spokesman said NAB has so far received around 120 complaints against them. Abdul Majeed was produced before an accountability court on Thursday.
