BIEK releases results of supplementary exams

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi on Tuesday announced supplementary results of science general, science pre-engineering and science pre-medical (private and regular) groups of the higher secondary school certificate, part-II.

As per the gazette, 997 candidates registered and 965 students appeared in the general group supply exams 2017. As many as 316 candidates were declared passed whereas overall pass percentage is 32.75 percent. 

The gazette shows that 585 male students were registered of whom 568 candidates appeared and 208 students managed to pass their supply exams. The pass percentage is 36.62 percent.

It also shows that 412 female candidates were registered of whom 397 students appeared and 108 candidates were declared pass. The pass percentage is 27.20 percent. 

According to the gazette, no candidate received A-I or A grade. However, seven candidate got B-grade, 128 students managed to get C-grade, 172 candidates received D-grade and nine of them got E-grade students.

 

Pre-engineering group

In pre-engineering group, as many as 10,959 candidates were registered and 10,563 students appeared of whom 3,793 candidates managed to clear their supply exams. The overall pass percentage is 35.91 percent. 

Of 8,486 male students registered, as many as 8,160 candidates appeared and 3,185 students were declared passed. The pass percentage is 39.03.

No one could get A-I grade while 11 candidates got A-grade, 53 students had B-grade, 731 candidates got C-grade, 2,121 students passed exams with D-grade and 267 candidates managed to get E-grade.

As many as 2,473 female students were registered and 2,403 candidates appeared of whom 608 students were declared passed. The pass percentage is 25.30. Neither of a female candidate could get receive A-1 grade. Only one student got A grade, 24 students got B-grade, 277 candidates had C-grade, 298 students received D-grade and eight candidates got E-grade.

 

Pre-medical group

In pre-medical group, overall 6,473 candidates registered of whom 6,232 students appeared and 1,641 candidates managed to clear the exams. The overall pass percentage is 26.33 percent. 

According to the gazette, as many as 1,564 male students were registered and 1,492 candidates appeared of whom only 496 students were declared passed.

The pass percentage is 33.24.

Only one male candidate received A-grade, eight students had B-grade, 93 candidates got C-grade, 350 students had D-grade and 33 candidates got E-grade while 11 students passed papers without any grades.

Moreover, 4,909 female candidates were registered while 4,740 students appeared and 1,145 candidates were declared passed. The pass percentage is 24.16 percent.

Only four girls received A-grade, 56 candidates had B-grade, 553 students got C-grade, 515 candidates had D-grade, 13 students got E-grade whereas four female candidates passed exams without any grades.
